Found a nifty shortcut today for installing your public key via SSH:

Install ssh-copy-id via Homebrew:

brew install ssh-copy-id

Then run:

ssh-copy-id -i [email protected]

Replace [email protected] with the SSH username and domain of the host your want to install to. The program ssh-copy-id will connect via SSH, ask you for your password and then proceed to install your public key for you.

Once it’s done you should be able to SSH into your server without having to enter the user password.
